Problem/Motivation

We need to start accepting session submissions on the site. It seems to be working now, but I had two points to bring up.

  1. It seem as though everyone needs to have the specific role of "speaker" added to their account to submit a session online, even if you already have "admin" level privileges. Given that session submission is open to everyone, what value does the "Speaker" role even have? Perhaps it should just be "authenticated user"? It seems as though we're adding the role of "speaker" to every new account created, which (again) makes me question why that role exists, if it's applied to everyone?
  2. The email triggered from the site once a session is submitted comes from Chris's personal email. We should change that to one of our new twincitiesdrupal.org email accounts. Perhaps Wilbur's?

We are using the Registration Role module. This defines a NEW ROLE that is assigned to users that self-register. We use this role to give them permission to create sessions.

Because we are using this, we need the speaker role to allow new users to create content.

If this does NOT work as it did last year, please let us know!

We could add a notification feature when someone makes a session node, but not required to call this done
