Hi,

When enabling the module and enable the feature for content types, the Reading time pseudo-field is being added and displayed by default for all enabled content types and view modes.

In my case I have 15+ content types and 6-7 view modes per content type. And I need the reading time only for one specific view mode.
This means I had to modify dozens of configs (15 content types * 5-6 view modes) to hide the pseudo-field.

I think it would make more sense to let users opt-in for the view modes they like/need.

I think this is the default behavior in Drupal core as well? If you create a new field for a certain content type, it will be automatically added into the View display.

I agree with the comment above. In my opinion, it is better if the standard behavior for the pseudo field "Reading time" - is not to be displayed. And the user will be able to choose in which "View Mode" he plans to display this field. So I created a Merge Request that implements such a variable.
