array_walk(): Argument #1 ($array) must be of type array, null given in array_walk() [#3375336]

We have combination of users, some are part of group and some are not.
Those users who are not part of any group have an empty value for field_user_adfs_role, and here is where the code is failing with the following error :

TypeError: array_walk(): Argument #1 ($array) must be of type array, null given in array_walk() (line 77 of /var/www/html/q-test/web/modules/contrib/gsaml/gsaml.module)
