Thank you for this module! I am very impressed that it (eventually) showed our 19,180 tags that were crashing Drupal core's taxonomy vocabulary admin page! Unfortunately it has a problem with installation via the recommended way for modern Drupal (8, 9, 10 etc), via Composer. I am also interested in adding the capability to bulk delete all taxonomy terms with zero (or, alternatively, one or a configurable threshold) content items referencing them, and would be happy to be a maintainer to help with these issues.
Problem/Motivation
I would like to include this module on many projects and possibly as part of the Drutopia distribution.
Steps to reproduce
composer require drupal/cleantaxonomy
happily goes ahead with "Installing drupal/cleantaxonomy (dev-1.x 7773d50): Cloning 7773d5040a from cache"
But when i go to enable it, withdrush en cleantaxonomy
it fails:
> Unable to install modules cleantaxonomy due to missing modules cleantaxonomy.
> Failed to execute command drush -y en cleantaxonomy: exit status 1
Looked around for why and saw it was placed in the drush/Commands/contrib/ folder. (The drush commands did not show up either though!)
Proposed resolution
Moved to web/modules/contrib the module works
Change the "type": "drupal-drush", line in the composer.json file to "drupal-module" (and the name to drupal/cleantaxonomy).
