Problem/Motivation

The ComponentDiscovery class is an artifact of the Lightning distribution, which is now end-of-life. As far as I know, it's not used anywhere. It was always internal and completely Lightning-specific, so ideally we'd just remove it. But, just to be safe, let's deprecate it now for removal in the next major version of Lightning Core.
