Proposed resolution

Organize a porting day or weekend similar to what was done in 2020 for Drupal 8 to 9.

Remaining tasks

  1. Figure out who's interested in helping organize
  2. Pick dates/times
  3. Find mentors
  4. Promote
  5. Run event
  6. Credit people who organize, mentor, and contribute
  7. Gather feedback from participants
  8. Create recap

I would love to participate as an organiser for Indian Standard Timezone (IST) region. We have always conducted the contributions sprints between 10 AM and 5 PM, so I think this time frame should work for Porting Day/Weekend as well. I will check with more people on timings and interest in mentoring within community here and share by EOW!

Can help cover European times once at least. I think it may be difficult to do mid-year due to northen hemisphere holidays, but towards the end August may be good?

We will do multiple events. First one will be 3pm Pacific 28 July (Thursday) to 3pm+ Pacific 29th July (Friday). I'll start organizing via other issues.
