Yes, anyone can create issues, but you'd be the bottleneck for dealing with all the credit stuff. Do you intend to recruit other "maintainers" for this project (aka credit moderators)? There's nothing on the project page about this. Should we split that off as a separate issue, since it's more than just the project page description itself. ;)
Otherwise, I think the page looks good and is clear.

tintoI'm currently in the process of organising a contribution event and I'm considering making a few slides to accompany an introduction talk for all attendees. I would like to explain the Bug Smash Initiative, the triage workflow and some helpful links to the documentation, Slack, the Bug Smash Bingo page and such.
Perhaps one of the project goals could be a boilerplate set of slides that organisers of Bug Smash events can use (and customise)?

@tinto That's a great idea. Ideally, provide a space in the documentation to have slide decks / docs like these or link off to the appropriate place if these are already available for the initiative/project. For example, Bug Smash has its own documentation. Note that I believe there is already some slides that were created for Bug Smash... let me see if I can dig them up.
