PayPal released a new all-in-one payment solution called "PayPal Checkout": https://www.paypal.com/de/webapps/mpp/upgrade-to-checkout

It's already available for several Shop Systems, but sadly Drupal Commerce isn't one of them. Please add Support for PayPal Checkout. Perhaps PayPal will sponsor the Open Source development? Does the Centarro Team have any PayPal Contacts?

Also, I couldn't find that documented on the module page or am I missing something? So I guess then this is just a Documentation and marketing task?

We'll reach to PayPal to see if this can be done.

Super cool, just tried it and indeed it works! Even in Drupal 7.

With that change on the PayPal side (at least for Germany) we should now be able to close #2545266: Support for PayPal Plus ("Pay Later") as the functionality now seems to be supported by "PayPal Checkout".

I'll leave a comment in that issue and ask for confirmation, if it works as expected!
