I do plan on creating a 2.x branch to move to semantic versioning, Drupal 10 and dropping other legacy support options. Which I'll merge this into that branch.

The IE11 support I'll hold on to in the 1.x branch for projects that still need it, at least until June 2022, which I'll reevaluate if I should drop support for this branch.

Thanks for this patch and pointing this out, will update this soon, but will need a little time to plan some of these changes.

Added to the 2.x-dev for 2.x releases which will be updated for PHP 8.1 and Drupal 10 compatibility.
