Improve test coverage of the module. [#3257403]

Currently, the tests which are written for the module do not assure full coverage of all the functionality. The coverage can be improved by introducing the following tests:

1. Verify the output of a plugin the main controller.
2. Verify enabling/disabling of plugin.
