Problem

While installing this module, getting below error of configurations.
Configuration objects (field.storage.media.field_description) provided by omnystudio already exist in active configuration.
This is due to configurations yml files that kept under "config/install" folder which forcefully tries to install the configurations over existing one.

There are missing form display and view display config files for audio media type.

Steps to reproduce

Try to install this module with fresh drupal.

Proposed resolution

Need to move these config files under "config/optional" so that it skips the existing configurations.
Need to add form display and view display config files for audio media type.

Patch for this.

  1. Renamed "config/install" to "config/optional"
  2. Added "form display" and "view display" config files for default mode of audio media type.

Please ignore #2 patch, here is the clean & working patch.

  • Renamed "config/install" to "config/optional"
  • Added "form display" and "view display" config files for default mode of audio media type.
  • Removed UUID's from all the yml files.

Thank you virajrajankar.

  • On a fresh install, core never comes with 'media' module enabled so this error is more likely to occur if you've media enabled and 'audio
    in use. That's why I had put everything under 'install' but ok moving to 'optional' makes sense.
  • Display files were missing because I wanted to keep all the additional fields by default 'hidden' and leave it on users' discretion because they are anyway going to customise and export config. So could you either refactor patch to enable all the fields and display or remove these files (less code/files in package) I'm still more inclined on removing files though :P
  • Third point makes sense.

Point no 2 make sense, I have removed the new form display & view display for audio media type.
Updated the patch with this changes, please have a look.
