Our Aegir Provision fork used in BOA stack diverged again too far from upstream, so we can't even backport easily Drupal 9 support we have already added in BOA. I don't want to spam the project with issues per patch, so I will reference all pre-D9 patches in this issue, and then Drupal 9 support specific patches in separate issue.
