The parent issue added tests. I think we should close this issue as won't fix. It's a bit vague and there are quite a few tests of installer exceptions.

For example:

  • \Drupal\FunctionalTests\Installer\InstallerDatabaseErrorMessagesTest
  • \Drupal\Tests\config\Functional\ConfigInstallProfileUnmetDependenciesTest
  • \Drupal\FunctionalTests\Installer\InstallerExistingConfigNoConfigTest
  • \Drupal\FunctionalTests\Installer\InstallerExistingInstallationTest

etc... quite a few of the InstallerTestBase tests are about testing error conditions.

Drupal core is moving towards using a “main” branch. As an interim step, a new 11.x branch has been opened, as Drupal.org infrastructure cannot currently fully support a branch named main.
