After user submits search bar then search bar in search results page no longer shows the searched keyword. It is standard behavior to keep the searched keyword in results page so it would be great to have this behavior.

Attaching a patch to include this functionality.

You should use query part of request instead of get()

This feature breaks backward compatibility - existing sites will start display string, so it needs block level config
