In a previous discussion on the data model you said :

=> Configuration / Media / Photos

These are the global settings and settings for the photos_image entity (for a single photo). It would probably make sense to leave the global settings here, but move the field, form and display settings under - /admin/structure somewhere, it just landed here while testing. We still need to add the links to add a single image and the content list will be /admin/content/photos (admin list of all photos_image entities). So this will likely change a bit before a stable version is released.

I think that for the understanding of the module this is very important.
I constantly get confused by the terms ( which you are already changing ) and the location of the media and entities.

I am not sure what the current photos_image is ? is it an entity or only a database table with fields ?
I think it should be an entity type called photo.

Then the Field , form and display settings can be moved to : /admin/structure/content type/photo
And the global settings can go under configuration/photo. ( not under configuration/media/photo because it is not media )

The media type photos can stay under media but should be called Album or Photo Album.

The content type photos can stay under content types and should be called Album or Photo Album.

Again, the names i mention are the names the users see. The machine names may differ.

I may be repeating stuff, but for the overview i think it is better to mention all (again) here
