I have created patch which will add "Add to shortcuts" similar to seven theme.

Thank you Mahtab. The patch works well. It should be noted to others that the module needs to be uninstalled and reinstalled for it to take affect.

The only problem we're having now is changing the colors in the favstar.svg file and making those colors appear in the site to suit the Adminimal color scheme. The saved color changes to that file aren't appearing in the site. Cache flushing and reinstalling the module doesn't seem to work.

I have install the 8.x-1.6 version of Adminimal theme and applied the patch adminimal_theme-add_to_shortcuts-3127508-8.patch but it's not working. screenshot is attached with comment.

To add the "Shortcuts" star button please apply adminimal_theme-add_to_shortcuts-3127508-5.patch in the "adminimal_theme.settings.yml" config file. Working fine. Please check the below image:

But the star icon is not visible properly. So I have applied the second patch adminimal_theme-add_to_shortcuts-3127508-8.patch for the CSS change and It's working fine. Please check the below images:
