Varbase media generate a new blurry image (server-side) for each image after the cache rebuild, I think we should use jQuery library (something like https://codemyui.com/blurry-lazy-load-images/ ) to generate this image to improve page speed, I will provide screenshots and xhprof statistics ASAP.
