The Drupal 7.x built-in update checker is now reporting that Service Container is no longer available
"Project not supported: This project is no longer supported, and is no longer available for download. Disabling everything included by this project is strongly recommended!
Includes: Service Container, Services Container Annotation Discovery, Symfony's Services Container"
This will highlight the issue to more 7.x users of Openlayers.

Are there recommendations from the maintainers?

Since ServiceContainer IS a requirement for OpenLayers in Drupal 7 OpenLayers by itself is not supported anymore as it can't be used with a deactivated ServiceContainer module.

tormi made their first commit to this issue’s fork.

Hi All,
I have just released a new version of the Drupal 7 Openlayers module (7.x-3.2-alpha1) that no longer depends upon the separate Service Container module, which has now been deprecated.

This was a significant change to the underlying code, so I would appreciate any feedback before I contemplate a proper stable release. Being a new maintainer to Openlayers, I would also like to know of any regression errors that I may have introduced with this change.

Regards,
Ken

I will try 7.x-3.2, with service container module disabled

The main page for openlayers still indicates service-container module is a dependency. Should this be changed?
