The Paid Services forum is a place when you can post requests for Drupal services you are willing to pay for. It is not a forum where you can advertise the paid services you offer.

This forum is a lightweight and free alternative to Drupal.org Marketplace - Services and Drupal Jobs. Before hiring someone, you may want to check out those as well.

There have been a lot of complaints of users spamming the paid-services forum. We are actively working to turn this forum into a useful and professional resource for clients to find relevant Drupal services.

The key philosophy here is that exchange between job posters and applicants should be done on a one-to-one basis, not in comment threads. Use the contact tab that users with the "Confirmed" role will find on the original poster's profile page to respond to service requests. Do not respond by posting a comment where you offer your services. If you see any such comments, use the "Report as spam"-link below the comment to report it for moderation.

We've noticed that most of the people that disregard the above rule and offer their services directly in this forum are users that has never contributed to Drupal, and is without any track record in the Drupal community. Caveat emptor.

The Paid Services forum maintainer is stephthegeek, with assistance from francort and gisle. We keep an active eye on this forum daily, but feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

Rules for the Paid Services forum

  1. Before posting a service request, enable your Personal contact form. If the contact form is disabled, there is no way for those who want to assist you to contact you. To enable, edit your profile, and under "Contact settings", place a tickmark next to "Personal contact form". To avoid comment spam, we will not allow comments (except a comment telling you to enable it) under posts from people that have not enabled their contact form.
  2. If you want to contact someone looking for help, click on the original poster's username and use the contact tab on their personal profile page. If their contact tab is not enabled, please leave a comment on the forum post requesting that they enable it.
  3. In the personal message you send, include references of other Drupal projects you have done, examples of your work, and some pricing information.
  4. If you cannot use the contact form because you do not have the "Confirmed" role, do not request that the original poster contact you. Instead, create an issue in the site moderators queue requesting confirmation of your account. Please note that if you have no record of engagement with the community, or your posting history contains a significant proportion of inappropriate posts, you will probably not get the "Confirmed" role. This is our way of protecting those requesting services from inexperienced or inappropriate providers.
  5. If you want to respond to a forum topic, it should only be if you have a question that needs clarifying (that would benefit all) or for the purposes of pointing the poster to an existing solution or other relevant resource. All other comments will be summarily deleted.
  6. DO NOT start a thread or comment on a thread with an advertisement of your services, request that the poster contact you, request that the poster checks his/her mail, or bump a thread with a useless comment. If you see anyone doing this, use the "Report as spam"-link to report it.
  7. Offenders will be warned provided they have enabled their contact tab (those that cannot be warned will summarily be blocked). If someone continue to spam the paid-service forum after being warned, they will lose their "Confirmed" status. If they do not have this status, or they have disabled their contact form, their accounts will be blocked. If they create another account, all their accounts will be blocked and all their comments will be unpublished.
  8. When you've hired someone, edit your post and prepend [SOLVED] to the title. This will inform applicants that the job is no longer available.
  9. Be nice to each other, and helpful. You are representing the Drupal community in this forum to new users. Act accordingly.
