It would be helpful to be able to filter the users listed on /admin/people/switch-user-list, for example by username or email.

I think my patch on #3087885: Add an entity operation instead of a user list fixes this with a different/more flexible approach.

Hi @hanoii, Thanks for the different approach. I am facing another issue related to role based access to this functionality. As of now only Administrator can use this functionality. But requirement is that some other user/role has to have access to this. So What I need is I should provide access to admin/people/switch-user-list this path for another role. Is there any way I can achieve this? I checked with custom permissions also but didn't succeeded.

Implementing this would make /admin/people/switch-user-list very similar to /admin/people, when it's possible to just add an operation more to /admin/people.

We should focus on implementing #3087885: Add an entity operation instead of a user list.
