When manually running cron from /admin/config/system/cron it triggers a redirect from one of my nodes that uses a Field Redirection field. I saw some similar issues in the queue for D7, but thought I would flag this for D8 here too.

I can't consistently reproduce this issue, though. I had it happening a while, and now it isn't. All that changed was I had run cron a few times.

Did you use the field formatter on the "Default" view mode or the "Full" view mode? You should only use it on the "Full" view mode.

Yeah, I used the default. I *did* read the project page description, but it mentions *recommended* usage is to use the "Full content" display. It might be worth updating the verbiage to indicate that it's pretty much required if you want to avoid cron weirdness.
