The “None (not managed by Aegir)” description of the default option can be pretty confusing both for Aegir users used to the old "Add platform" interface and even more for new users, so let’s make it self-explanatory. Patch attached.

colanWouldn't it be even more descriptive if it were:
I'm sure I'm lacking context, but "Classic" doesn't really tell me anything.

colanBetter documentation would help too. I just updated Deployment Strategies, which is now linked from the Add Platform page.

memtkmcc commentedThe "Classic" is just a friendly suggestion that this is the option everyone was using for all those years before, so after 10 years it became sort of "Classic" :-) In contrast, the "Unmanaged/managed" combo feels even more confusing, while the intention is to keep the interface as little confusing as possible, and without referring to docs to understand it, which people tend to never read anyway, which our support team can confirm after years of having contextual links to docs in a few places in our BOA soft fork of Hosting frontend.

colanIt's certainly better than "None" so this is fine with me. I updated that docs page to include "Classic".
@helmo: Thoughts?
