Configuring Pathauto

Pathauto configuration is found at the Pathauto Pattern page located at Configuration » Search and metadata » URL aliases ( admin/config/search/path/patterns).

Pattern configuration

Each pattern has a set criteria that determines when it is applied:

• Label: human-readable name.
• Pattern: URL alias/path with placeholder tokens.
• Pattern type: entity type selector, which can be configured from the settings.
• Conditions: conditional logic to select a subset of entities within an entity type (e.g. content types versus all content), represented while editing as a checkbox list of entity types.

Use the Browse available tokens link while creating or editing a pattern to view all available tokens (site variables).
