When switching between view modes (4 to 2 columns), the image ratio changes (from 3:2 to square). So that means when you change view modes in the USP, the image inside the USP-item (referenced paragraph) needs to load the same field but with a different responsive image style.

In a view_mode_alter, we'll simply render the child USP item in the selected view mode. As long as the value in that field and the name of the view mode that actually exists for the USP child item exists, it will render them in that view mode.
