Comment #2
creatile commentedHello Same error message for me with same module and core version
Comment #3
aniltiwari commentedCan you run drush command: drush entup . may be help to you.
Comment #4
creatile commentedYes, thanks a lot it works #3
Comment #5
jsacksick commentedThere should be an update for that, did you run drush updb? Or opened update.php in the browser?
Comment #6
mediapal commentedYes I did run update.php "No pending update"
Comment #7
jsacksick commented@mediapal: Could you tell me if the attached patch makes any difference?
Comment #9
jsacksick commentedAccording to the documentation:
"mymodule_update_8101(): The first update for your custom or contributed module's 8.x-1.x versions."
And "2 digits for sequential counting, starting with 01. Note that the x000 number can never be used: the lowest update number that will be recognized and run for major version x is x001."
Committed the patch from #7.

epetvir commentedI'm still seeing this with beta4, after running update.php.
Tried "drush entup", which reports the update, but doesn't seem to do anything for it: when I run it again, it still reports the same.
$ drush entup
The following updates are pending:
commerce_payment_method entity type :
The Flow field needs to be installed.
$ drupal updb
[WARNING] There aren't updates available
Comment #13
jsacksick commented@epetvir: The payment method type is no longer necessary in dev, but it's still in the codebase.
Could you try updating Commerce to -dev?
Comment #14
finex commentedHi, I'm having the same problem using -dev version: the error message is always visible even after entup/updb.
Comment #15
epetvir commentedI tried updating commerce and commerce_paypal to -dev but the field definition mismatch was still there, and I didn't manage to cure it. Ended up rolling back. I'll try upgrading again once 2.14 is out.
Comment #16
jsacksick commented@FiNeX, @epetvir: Could you try updating to the latest dev again? I removed the flow field definition (the warning should be gone this time for good).
Comment #17
wispaway commented@jsacksick: Had same issue after update. Google got me here. Read the thread. Updated to 1.x-dev(1ced6cd). Ran update.php.
Message changed to: The Active field needs to be updated.
Drupal 8.7.2
Commerce 8.x-2.13
Comment #18
jsacksick commentedThe PayPal module doesn't define an active field, so this message is probably related to another entity type (perhaps the Subscription?) Do you use the recurring module?
Comment #19
wispaway commentedNo recurring module. Installed via composer long ago. Intended to replace an old 7 with this new 8 when I get around to it. Just decided to run updates on it for good measure when I saw the error. Very little config done on the install. I've searched for a related thread but the goog hasn't yielded anything relevant.
Comment #20
HMS_Fa commentedSame here as @wispaway

Comment #21
jsacksick commented@HMS_Fa: The issue is fixed in dev... so it's expected that you're still encountering it.
Comment #22
londova commentedThere is a error when unistall the Commerce Paypal:
-------------
The website encountered an unexpected error. Please try again later.Drupal\Core\Database\DatabaseExceptionWrapper: SQLSTATE[42S02]: Base table or view not found: 1146 Table 'mydatabase.commerce_payment_method__flow' doesn't exist: UPDATE {commerce_payment_method__flow} SET deleted=:db_update_placeholder_0
WHERE bundle = :db_condition_placeholder_0; Array

[:db_update_placeholder_0] => 1
[:db_condition_placeholder_0] => paypal_checkout
)
..... followed by a long code...
Comment #23
jsacksick commentedDid you update to the latest dev?
Comment #24
londova commentedSorry, I did more trials.
The first time installed the dev version with Composer and was error.
I removed the module with composer, Installed the "beta4" version, and after updated manually.
I did the job !!! Very surprised.
Comment #25
cameron prince commentedFYI, you now must install the devel_entity_updates module in order for the drush command to actually do anything.
