When you go to field_domain_access settings, there is no "default value" option.

Proposed resolution

It looks this is simply an omission in domain_access_entity_field_access.
Of course, setting current domain as default should only happen when there's no default value.

I would swear that we have an existing issue for this. It wasn't implemented originally due to how the active domain is handled. What we need is an option that says "default domain: x, y, z, active".
