Hello, drush on PHP 5.4 gets an error with d8cache:

Drush command terminated abnormally due to an unrecoverable error.   [error]
Error: Can't use function return value in write context in
d8cache/d8cache.drush.inc,
line 29

Apparently, you can't do empty() on trim() in 5.4.
