With the media module in core, the media module offers remote video with oEmbed instead of the module video_embed_field. And slick views doesn't support this video field. Supported formatters right now: Colorbox, Intense, Responsive image, Video Embed Field, Youtube Field.

In fact that this field is now in core, it should be supportet by Slick Views. What do you think?

I haven't got time to work with core Media, sorry.

In the meantime, please try hook_blazy_views_field_options_alter:

Basically needs to add the name of formatter (not field type) to either images or overlays options:

And see if any extra functionality needed to make it work other than the given alter.

It should work with the latest Blazy integration. There is option entity_reference_entity_view for the rendered entity to be included as the main or overlay stage of the slider. Be sure the mentioned gotchas were not overlooked:

Not really great if you expect output like Slick media for Slick Views, but should do the job for now. Further refinements with oEmbed things are still a WIP for Blazy 8.x-2.0:
