If you use CKEditor 5 provided by Drupal core the CKEditor: Fixed Toolbar module is not required anymore and should be uninstalled!
Synopsis
The CKEditor Fixed Toolbar module provide a JS plugin to have a fixed CKEditor toolbar in textarea fields. It is only required if you use CKEditor 4 in your Drupal project.
Installation
Versions 8.x-1.x: Install as usual, see the official documentation for further information.
Configuration
- Only enable this module to activate fixed toolbar for textareas with CKEditor 4.
Requirements
Following D8 core modules are required to use CKEditor Fixed Toolbar contrib module.
- drupal/ckeditor core module
Roadmap
For first RC release following issues should be resolved (ordered by priority):
- #3016474: Does not work in safari browser (maybe already fixed?)
- #3015187: Fix gap above fixed toolbar on browser window resize
- #3135753: Toolbar position is wrong when CKEditor field is displayed in a modal.
