I started getting the complains from my client's website. The customers make an order, choose to pay with paypal, proceed to paypal, pay and then the order does not appear admin/commerce/orders. We have a notification system on the website made with rules, so after the order is completed the website should send a notification to admin roles. We get notifications perfectly if there is COD payment or bank transfer. But the notifications don't come in case of paypal because the payment process passes only for paypal website not for drupal website.
Nobody knows except the customer that they paid so nobody cared about the delivery.
One more bad thing is that even if I click "return to merchant" after the successful PayPal payment the website does not return me to the merchant.
Do you have any idea what could be wrong? Thank you in advance!

tfranz commentedI have the same problem since a few days – attached you find the watchdog-log: there seems to be no related error.
Is there anything i can do to help solving this issue?

leramulina commentedUpdate. I installed the 2.5 version.
Now I can use the button "return to merchant".
If I don't press it the order stays as Checkout: Payment. And Paypal does not automatically return the client to the shop which is very dangerous.
But even if I press this button I return to the shop on my website, I see the message "CHECKOUT COMPLETE"
but in admin/commerce/orders it still stays as "Pending".
The good thing is that I can receive the notification to my e-mail.

netzkombuese commentedSame issue here for me since a few days for a customers site. Paypal does not redirect to the shop after completing the payment.
The back to merchant link is not clickable..nothing happens.
Weird thing is if you open the "back to merchant" link in a new tab everything works as it should - paypal redirects to the shop and order is created.
Is it possible that they made some changes?

leramulina commented1) I updated the module to the last version 7.x-2.3 to 7.x-2.5. It made the link clickable
2) I changed the rule http://visaforbali.com/admin/commerce/config/checkout/rules
Name: Update the order status on checkout completion - edit
Actions: Update the order state - edit
Order state: by default it was Pending and I changed it to completed
3) For returning the client to your shop from PayPal you need TO CHANGE THE SETTINGS IN PAYPAL
They changed the design and may change later. But for now (20 August) the settings must be made like that:
You enter your PayPal account
- Profile
- Selling Tools
- Website preferences (Return customers to my website after they pay with PayPal) - Update
https://www.paypal.com/businessmanage/preferences/website
Auto return for website payments - set "on" and add the address http://yourwebsitename.com/checkout/
Upon finishing the payment PayPal will redirect the user to the shop back and the website will get the information about the payment completed.

anybodyClosing this as duplicate of #2036149: PayPal WPS not updating completing checkout to join forces, because I guess all these issues (see #2036149-33) are based on the same problem.
I you guess I'm wrong and this issue is not a duplicate, please feel free to reopen. Otherwise please help to finally fix that issue! :)
