Just wanted to give y'all a heads up: We've been working to fix an incompatibility we found with Bibcite 8.x-1.x and Font Awesome 8.x-2.x, and it looks like we've got a working patch going for Font Awesome. Check it out here: https://www.drupal.org/project/fontawesome/issues/2986740

This doesn't necessarily reflect a bug in Bibcite, but rather that Font Awesome had a function that failed whenever it processed fields that were the wrong class. I figured you may want to be aware of it and check it out yourselves.

There is related change in the Bibliography & Citation module: #3003787-5: When used with the Stacks module, there are errors when Contributors are viewed, edited, etc.. With this change the Font Awesome Icons module, of versions prior to mentioned patch/fix, should also work.
