The "description" property in *core/lib/Drupal/Component/Uuid/composer.json* currently says "PHP library for reading PO files." which is the description for the Gettext component. The UUID component generates and validates UUIDs and has nothing to do with PO files. This should reflect in the description.

Once this is fixed, the Packagist page will hopefully pick up the changes. But I don't know if the Github mirror will do the same.
