Vimeo Embed Field

The vimeo embed field module will create a simple field widget type that you allows to add a vimeo video url to embed videos from Vimeo and show their thumbnail

previews simply by entering the video's url to a content type or any other Drupal entity .

This module is a simple and lightweight compare to Media, Embedded Media Field , and Video Embed Field.

Steps to add field in content types

In the Manage administrative menu, navigate to Structure > Content types (admin/structure/types).

Then click Manage fields in the dropdown button which is listed content type. The Manage fields page appears.

Click Add field. The Add field page appears. You can select vimeo embed video field and fill the required field then click Save and continue.

Save the content type and go to add content page, add one node in which is added vimeo video field, there have the option to add vimeo video URL.

  These thumbnails can be linked to the video url with new window or same window option.

Embed video player configuration

Size: Having the option in dropdown to change the embed size.
Width: Custom Width of Vimeo player.
Height: Custom Height of Vimeo Player.
Allowautoplay: Checkbox for allowing play automatically the video on load.
Title: Checkbox for allowing display the name of the video.
Loop: Checkbox for allowing play the video repeatedly.
Byline: Checkbox for allowing display who the video is by.
Portrait: Checkbox for allowing display the video submitter's picture or image.
Color: Checkbox for allowing change the background color for embed video player icons.
