All other field types where you would expect to display multiple options use the Selection Options text field to build that list. For some reason, the checkboxes do not use that, however. If I want to create a list of checkboxes, I have to create them as a list of seperate fields, so the checkboxes aren't associated with each other in any way. Ordinarily when you create a list of checkboxes for a form, you have a group of them associated with a single question, as options. For example, on a volunteer form, you have a question called "Volunteer Activities" with a list of checkboxes following that for each option. You might then have a seperate list of checkboxes for the committees a person wishes to join. With the Survey module, there's no way to do that. The only way I can do this is with a select field with the multiple select option turned on, which is not well understood by the average stupid user (who's going to think to ctrl+click each option?). Everyone knows how checkboxes work though. Thus, if the admin enters a list of options in that selection options field, the checkboxes should be generated as I have subscribed. If you leave that field blank, it should go ahead and produce a single checkbox as it does now.

jaskegreen commentedIt's sort of odd that Flexinode is able to do this but Survey is not. Shouldn't it work in the same manor?

donkilo commentedHas anyone found a way around this yet? I'm trying to make a survey with checkboxes but it's not gonna work if I have to create individual ones instead of a group of them.

quicksketchSurvey module is no longer being maintained, use Webform module instead.
