Can someone please indicate the solution? "Insert media" doesn't do anything when I click it.

I installed

  • CKEDITOR 7.x-1.18
  • Media 7.x-2.13
  • ckeditor_4.4.6 library

Going through the same thing! Very frustrating!!!

I have:

CKEditor 7.x-1.18
Media 7.x-2.14
CKEditor Library 4.8
Media CKeditor 7.x-2.5

I don't know if this is the same for you, but finally got the insert image button to work!

I chose the wrong image button in the editor appearance!

/admin/config/content/ckeditor

Under Editor Appearance, you want the button with 2 images with mountains. When you hover over it, it should say "Add media".

The one I had before was the icon with the mountains and the sun (when hovered, it says "Image"). That did nothing when I clicked on it. Apparently that icon is supposed to bring up image properties.

Not very intuitive. Hope this helps you out!
