Currently Drupal core does not provide email and username fields from the user entity in the field UI. These fields can be easily loaded via the user entity. However the Drupal field UI (administrative backend) is not able to provide these fields. Projects do require the display of these fields. I think this would be a useful feature and should not require extra modules.
After searching for similar issues here in Drupal.org, I could not find one.
Does anybody need this feature also? Does anyone has a suggestion regarding the specifications for a patch? We might provide one as a Drupal core feature.
As the email and text field types already exist, I would just expose these fields to the frontend. Any suggestions for the proper class reference would be appreciated for having less patch corrections.

smustgrave commentedThank you for sharing your idea for improving Drupal.
We are working to decide if this proposal meets the Criteria for evaluating proposed changes. There hasn't been any discussion here for over 8 years which suggests that this has either been implemented or there is no community support. Your thoughts on this will allow a decision to be made.
Since we need more information to move forward with this issue, the status is now Postponed (maintainer needs more info). If we don't receive additional information to help with the issue, it may be closed after three months.
Thanks!

More information was requested over 11 months ago, again with no updates. Therefore I'm going to close this issue.
