Ran into some trouble with the Avatar Selection module a few days ago detailed here:

Summarizing, although I have done the update from JQuery Update 5.x-1.0 to 5.x-2.0, running the database update script afterwards, I have noticed the STATUS page is still showing the version installed correctly as being 1.1.2 (see attached screenshot). I disabled the Avatar Selection module and uninstalled it so I could then disable the JQuery Update module. Uploaded that module folder back to the server, enabled it, and again copied required folders to the Drupal MISC core. Still same listing on the STATUS report, and attempt to re-activate the Avatar Selection module is still having same issues.

I fear the version of JQuery is still not correct in spite of following suggested installation process.
