My goal is to reduce the number of Drupal sites we are maintaining by replacing sites for previous Drupal Camp Colorado events with static archives.

So moving forward with years to come, I am happy to make the archives and archive sites. This system will quickly allow us to archive sites with the goal of removing the steps of creating additional sites at Pantheon.

After the archive site is created, we can just update the existing current site by scrubbing the content and updating the theme rather than cloning the site in to a new Pantheon project, requesting the free account, SSL etc. This should simplify our development process and cut down on the manual workload and reduce the number of Drupal sites we will need to maintain in the future.

TASKS:

1. Create static web site archives for all of the Drupal Camp Colorado web sites that are available using the instructions provided: https://www.drupal.org/node/27882.
2. Create Github projects for each of the web sites.
3. Setup free hosting using Github Pages for each of the static archive HTML sites.
4. Configure DNS to use the drupalcampcolorado.org domain for each static site.
5. Download full backups of the 2014, 2015, and 2016 Drupal Camp Colorado sites from Pantheon.
6. Remove the 2014, 2015, and 2016 sites from Pantheon.
7. Create an Amazon S3 bucket to store the full backups and share with the Drupal Camp Colorado web masters as needed.

Completed the following tasks:

1. The forms have been disabled for 2014, 2015, and 2016. I had to use existing static HTML static archives for 2010, 2011, and 2013 sites.

After Drupal Camp 2017, I will create an archive of the site and we can use that existing site on Pantheon for the Drupal Camp 2018 site by scrubbing the users, updating the content, modifying the theme, etc.

Lastly, I am planning on submitting the last three camp sites to be displayed on https://www.drupal.org/drupalorg/docs/drupalcamp-sites-archive. The 2010, 2011, and 2013 sites are already listed.
