A small feature request: Add a new checkbox to the video field settings to control the smoothing variable of the flash player. With smoothing always enabled, large videos peg the CPU and become extremely choppy while playing. For now I fixed this by hacking 'smoothing=false' into player.inc, but it would be nice to give people the option.

Title: Option to disable smoothing » Automatically disable smoothing when insufficent cpu power

It doesn't make sense for this to be a field option, as not everyone will experience this problem.

jw media player used to do this automatically if there was insufficient cpu power. Guess that might have been dropped. We'll be switching to flowplayer in sept. I wonder if it can automatically disable smoothing if there is not enough cpu power?

We're now using Flowplayer (#244388: Flowplayer support) and I don't think it has a smoothing option. It might do it automatically.
