We have documented Remote import in BOA context a long time ago, and it just works, I think.

Good idea. It wasn't working when I came across it, but I got it working again. (See my last two commits.)

I've been using it since without problems, even though the warnings from #2826739: Overriden Provision_Service_remote_import_hostmaster methods incompatible with parent are rather annoying. Would it be fine to ship in Experimental with these?

Right. Fine with it, unless you guys want to wait for #2826739: Overriden Provision_Service_remote_import_hostmaster methods incompatible with parent, which would keep everything green.
