Node body has relative link of inline images inserted using default ckeditor, hence images are not displayed in android app consuming API endpoints and newsletters. Is there any way to create a text filter/code so that node body contains absolute URL`s.

This is intentional: if we would use absolute URLs, then we'd break e.g. multi-site setups, syncing between dev/staging/production, and so on.

Besides e-mails, another thing that needs absolute e-mails is RSS feeds. We fixed that in #88183: Relative URLs in feeds should be converted to absolute ones.

For e-mails, see #2704597: Relative URLs in mails should be converted to absolute ones.

Sorry to revolve around this issue.
Wondering if there's any way to create this feature manually?

This feature really makes sense, optimally to have the choice of 'absolute' or 'relative' url's.
Anyone using Drupal content to feed decoupled webapps or even native apps hits a bad wall...

I agree with @bmateus on this one.
For a decoupled setup we absolutely need to use absolute urls. I wonder if we could use an input filter for this for example?

This has been a while since this post. But, this is where I am at now. I can not get ckeeditor images to pulling into my nextjs site. The images are relative path. Is the work around to add something in nextjs, to add the full path.... I'm sure you guys have found a way to make this work. My users that edit with Drupal, will add images in the pages, so I need to have them pull into the frontend nextjs site. If anyone can point me in the right direction. Thank you!

We have the same problem, I hope there will be some options to fix it
