We can't use CKE 4.6.x or CKF 3.x on Drupal 7.x (please steer me in the right direction if I am incorrect!).

So this is CKEditor 4.5.6 and CKFinder 2.3 configured and ready to run on most common setups.

Assumes that you're using this ckeditor module so you would have:
/sites/all/modules/ckeditor with the modules files.

Shipped with this module is a blank "ckeditor" directory with a file "COPYHERE.txt". You will replace/overwrite-upon-extration this empty ckeditor directory.

This will leave you:
/sites/all/modules/ckeditor - module files
/sites/all/modules/ckeditor/ckeditor - ckeditor 4.5.6 folders/files
/sites/all/modules/ckedtior/ckfinder - ckfinder 2.3 folders/files

I included CKEditor Skins: Moono, Moono-Lisa, Moono-Dark, Moono-Blue, Icy-Orange, Bootstrak-CK, Kama, Flat
The "Moono" and "Icy-Orange" skins appear to work fine. I did not test Kama, Bootstrap or Flat "thoroughly"

The CKFinder config file is set to upload files to: /sites/default/files/
*set upload directory and perform other tunings in ckfinder/config.php

*by default, the first time you run ckfinder, it'll create a "/sites/default/files/images directory"
*/sites/default/files may need to be chmod 755 on many setups so check that if you have issues.

*if you'd like to use the V1 Skin, see ckfinder/config.js and uncomment // config.skin = 'v1'; (remove the //)

  1. If you have other issues with getting CKFinder to work you your Drupal 7.x, see this: https://www.drupal.org/node/728210
  2. If you want to customize this CKFinder 2.3, see this: http://docs.cksource.com/CKFinder_2.x/Developers_Guide/PHP/Configuration

**For security reasons, your upload has been renamed to ckeditor-456-with-ckfinder.tar_.gz.
*So be sure to save the download with proper .tar.gz file extension!!

Let me know if you need help or I am also for hire ;)

~enjoy :)

  1. *You will get or already have this module installed (tested on 7.x-1.17). My download is only a supplement to this module.
  2. *Should work on older versions of this module as I've been using them for a couple years with this module.
  3. *Should work going forward on future updates of this module until/if Drupal 7 ever becomes compatible with CKEditor 4.6+ (doubtful).
