Thank you for making this module. I can imagine this takes a lot of time.

I have installed the module and it works well. But in my case I want the end- user who makes the content decide what to fill in by “URL to continue the booking”. The end- user can make content, bud not content types.

Now the “URL to continue the booking” is only possible on the level of the content type. So when you have several different forms to post to, you have to make a different content type for each form.

When the “URL to continue the booking” is a field in the content/node then you can make only 1 content type and many different content/nodes with each of can them point to a different form.

I don’t know if this is possible?

This feature is on the todo list in the code. However, I don't have any time at all at the moment to do any development. But if you post a patch, I will make time to review it.

I think (just a quick assessment) that a patch should contain:

  • Implementation of hook_field_schema().
  • Boolean setting if user should be allowed to set this value herself.
  • Implementation of hook_field_widget_form() that takes into account the above setting (current beahvior on false, show input field to enter a link if true. Preferably supporting the autocomplete widget of the linkit module (if enabled).
  • i18n support for this field value (not sure if that needs anything special).
  • hook_update function.
  • Implementation of hook_field_validate() that entered link is an internal link.
  • Implementation of hook_field_formatter_view() that only renders internal links.

This seems like quite a list, but is not utterly difficult.

Thanks for your fast response. But I don't have good news.. I’m not a coder unfortunately. So making this as you suppose is not an option for me.

For my case I have managed it with the making of (to mutch :-P ) content types.

Maybe someone else can pick up your suggestion to make a patch for anyone who is facing this issue.
