The module does not install itself on Drupal 8.2.1 (I use module file upload in admin console).
I have Polish locale, the error message on install is:

This looks strange since we have the check for content entities few lines above. Content entities should have

hasField()

function.

Better description that would help others reproduce the problem and error messages that we can understand would help clarify the issue.
