I have a site where I need to bulk upload 20-30 files at a time (images/documents/videos) either via a "designated upload node" or similar method and I need to automatically create an individual node for each item so that I can attach a taxonomy (via VBO) and author information (so I can filter and add permissions via views).

I've tried setting up rules but it doesn't appear to offer an option for files created/uploaded.

I'm not sure if this is even the right approach, would anyone have any thoughts on this and whether or not it's possible?
