The problem
i want to run Tika for example in Docker, but i can't run a java environment in it.
The solution
Use a Tika server instead of the Tika app.
How to?
Install a Tika server image for docker. and then make a new option in the module so it can speak to the Tika server.
How did we do it?
We added an extra option (Tika server) and made a HTTP request to the server so it extracts the e.g "pdf".
How to use it?
You can configure your own Tika server options in the options menu and you are good to go.
PS
You don't need a docker environment to use this option. I just used docker as a virtual machine in my case.

rudi teschner commentedPatch works. I agree that tika server support would be a more dynamic approach than to support local runnable java jar files.
