Going into block settings for the custom search block and setting the title to "" as the field instructions say to do if you do not want any title DOES NOT HIDE OR RESULT IN NO TITLE. Instead the default title is still displayed.

I'm placing these blocks into mini panels that are placed as a block.

Setting the panel settings for that block within the mini panel to a blank title does hide the block title but still results in the height of the block title still spacing the search field and button down the height of the block title, so there is no way to not have a block title spacing above the search form.

While I am accurate about the not working, I don't think I was accurate about the panels settings not hiding the block title completely, resulting in the block title height actually not being a factor.

So, I could close this because I found a workaround, but the core error with the Custom Search module not having a working "" is still an issue.

D7 reached its EOL back in January 2025, and there is no active release for D7 for this module anymore.
Development or support is not planned for D7. All D7-related issues are marked as outdated in a bunch.

If the issue remains relevant for D10+ versions, merge requests with proposed solutions for a new module version (D10+) are welcome in a new follow-up issue.
