Landing Pages content type doesn't show Metatag module tab and fields [#2785349]

When "Landing Page" was rendered as a Panels page I was able to use the metatag and metatag panels modules to tailor the page via metatag fields on the panels Page Manger. Now that Landing Pages are nodes there doesn't seem to be a way to use the metatag's fields on the node edit page.

The only mention of it I could find was from UTAM_dev on this page: https://www.drupal.org/node/2329995#comment-10962493

If I knew this was the case I wouldn't have used the Landing Page content type provided by Panopoly.

Is there anyway that Panopoly landing page content type could allow the metatag module to place it's tab on the edit form?

We customize the node edit form using Page Manager. Probably you need to go to /admin/structure/pages/edit/node_edit and add the appropriate widget to the form, although, I haven't actually tested it. Please let me know if this helps!

After installing the metatag module the default settings are that both the Content Page and Landing Page are enabled - on this page: /admin/config/search/metatags/settings

The customized node edit form on Page Manager for Content Page uses the "Node being edited" base form, but the Landing Page doesn't. This means that If you want to use modules that place a tab on the node edit form they won't show up unless you add the base form to Landing Page using Page Manager. Personally, I never use the Content Page type because I don't need the extra fields for my landing pages, but it is important to be able to manage things like XML Sitemap and the Metatags modules per landing page. Is there a reason why you don't include the base form on the Landing Page by default? No big deal now that I know what to override, but was wondering.

For anyone scratching their head about this, here's a short video showing how to get the metatag module's widget on the Landing Page form:

Note, I just add the metatag widget to the form instead of the "Node being edited" base form.
