Hi,
i've experienced a situation where i had a lot of "The file could not be created" errors but couldn't find any issue with the directory 'files'.
after debugging, my temporary file isn't the default /tmp and had permission issues.

i would have found that quickly if the error message was a little bit explicit.

Will upload a patch for that

Thansk

Believe this one can be closed out. The code now throw new FileWriteException("Temporary file '$temp_name' could not be created."); which includes the temp_name so believe covers what's mentioned here.
