I tried to set the folder equal to "private://blah" in my settings.php and it failed. It looks like drupal_realpath needs to be called in _push_notifications_get_apns_certificate.

Setting the value on the admin form works correctly. The admin form doesn't replace the file stream wrapper with the actual path which is good.
